CUAV IST8 External Compass Brief
The IST8 compass module is built into iSentek’s 3×3mm LGA geomagnetic sensor IST8310, which is widely used in drone products. The PX4 and ArduPilot have been applied to the Pix flight control and can be used as an external compass for the V5 Autopilot.

CUAV IST8 External Compass installation
Please connect the IST8 compass to the I2C interface of the autopilot. Please make sure that the arrow in the above figure points to the front of the autopilot.
Supported firmware
The firmware of the CUAV V5 autopilot is perfectly compatible with the external compass, both Pix and APM firmware. If you are using another autopilot, please contact customer service.
