The 2025 edition of CUAV’s University Sponsorship Program and the accompanying “University Star” initiative have now successfully concluded. Looking back on the year, we are thrilled and deeply encouraged by the overwhelming response from the academic community. We received enthusiastic applications from over 300 university teams spanning across the globe. Throughout this period, CUAV’s innovative products have played a vital role, appearing in a diverse array of unmanned systems-related competitions, cutting-edge research projects, and academic explorations.
Since its inception, CUAV’s University Sponsorship Program has remained steadfast in its mission: to accompany university students, researchers, and faculty on their innovative journeys in unmanned systems technology by providing high-quality, reliable products. We believe that supporting academic curiosity and hands-on learning is fundamental to driving the entire industry forward. This year’s activities have powerfully reinforced that belief, showcasing a vibrant ecosystem of talent and creativity.
More than just providing hardware, our sponsorship aims to be a partnership. We have had the privilege, through countless photographs, compelling videos, and, most importantly, meaningful ongoing communication, to witness the incredible projects we support evolve from mere concepts on paper into tangible, functioning realities. It’s a transformative process we are honored to facilitate.

We have walked alongside these talented teams throughout their rewarding journeys—from the initial brainstorming and design phases, through rigorous testing and iteration, all the way to final implementation and competition. Each story of creation, each project that moved from ‘zero to one,’ is underpinned by immense dedication, collaborative spirit, and relentless hard work.
The scenes we witnessed have been truly inspiring. We saw our products enabling agile and precise maneuvers in national and international robotics competitions, where teams battled complex challenges and tight deadlines. We also saw them integral to the focused, meticulous environment of campus laboratories, where students spent long hours on research, development, and debugging, pushing the boundaries of autonomy, payload integration, and system optimization. Every frame of this journey highlighted the boundless potential and passion of students within the unmanned systems field. Their creativity in solving real-world problems, from environmental monitoring and agricultural automation to advanced logistics and search & rescue simulations, points toward a bright future for the industry.
